I used to LOVE this place. Food is still okay but no where as good as it used to be before the new owners. Got Togo and all the hot spice (liquid) was ALL over the inside of the bag and nothing in the box. Almost everytime I go here it ends up being closed. Day after Labor Day the sign says it will resume regular hours and at 2:30pm when I went it was closed. That's terrible for business. Finding a new Thai place.

Love the Pad Thai. Followed them from their Madison Heights location. Nice people, good food!

Outstanding in nearly every category ... chicken bits in the soup were juicy and perfectly cooked, everything was fresh, service was nice, curry was very well done, had a bit of a vivid flavor I liked and everything came to the table steaming hot. Huge unexpected surprise and highly recommended.

Not bad. The spring rolls were excellent, though a trifle small. The portion of pad Thai was quite large, though the excessive noodles exposed a lack of egg and onion. This review sounds worse than the experience really was. Food was seasoned and spiced very well. I would eat here again.

No frills, but really good Thai food. Also have a very friendly wait staff. One of the two best Thai restaurants in the Detroit area.

Maybe the people of CT don't know good Thai food if it hit them in the face. Rotting crab Rangoon. Totally in the freezer too long. The rest of my meal was forgettable... maybe I'll try it again, but I'll steer clear of the crab rangoon. I was not impressed at all.

After weeks of craving some delicious Thai food, a friend of mine recommended Bangkok Pavilion for me to try out. I ordered the beef Pad Thai. Man oh man, this is my new favorite place to go! The quantity was excellent and quality was great. I did carry-out, but when I picked up the food there was only a couple tables that were full. Next time, I will try the Crab Ragoons!

Was excellent until new owners took over a few months ago. Same menu but dishes aren't at all the same in taste or quality. Looking for a new Thai place!

New to the area and we have been searching for delicious Thai food. After failed attempts finally we came across this place. I ordered the pad Thai, one chicken & the other shrimp. Both were fabulous cooked and seasoned well my kids killed the chicken pad Thai! My husband ordered their traditional fried rice hot and he was so happy with it! He was happy to have true Thai fried rice. The service was awesome and the only reason why I didn't give it a 5 is because they didn't serve Thai toast or beef laub.

DH and I came here for Friday night date night. We had been to this restaurant once several years ago and didn't end up coming back. Turns out this restaurant is under NEW management (super friendly also!) and we were both really impressed with our food. We arrived at 7:30pm and were seated right away. There were probably 5-6 other tables occupied when we arrived. We ordered Curry Noodles with Beef (medium), Pad Thai with Pork (mild), Chicken Satay and a side of white rice (as if we didn't order enough carbs already!). Our entrees also came with hot and sour soup and shrimp chips. Unlike complimentary soup at a lot of restaurants, the soup was really flavorful and filled with bamboo shoots and other goodies and the shrimp chips were actually crispy. Hubs polished off his ENTIRE dish of curry noodles and I only managed to snag two bites. The two bites I had were really good though - the dish was a cross between a pad thai dish and a curry/coconut milk dish and the medium level spice had a nice punch to it! The Pad Thai I had was also really good! It had amazing pad thai flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. I ended up taking at least 2/3rds of my dish home because there was just SO much food. The price including tax was $27, which I think is a complete steal compared to other Thai restaurants in the area, especially without a coupon. The decor of this restaurant is quite simple, but I would rather have reasonably priced food than fancy decor any day. We will definitely come back to Bangkok Pavilion soon and are planning to try one of their seafood dishes!

Stepping inside, I know that this place was not going to be as great as Thai food in Atlanta, but I was like why not? The waitress was super friendly and answered a lot of our questions. We were looking for authentic thai dishes. Sadly, there is no papaya salad here. The first time I had their thai tea, it was delicious. The second time was way too sweet! It was loaded with sugar. I could not even drink it. We ordered two entrees Pad see ew & a special thai dish w/ fish & curry that she recommend. The Pad see ew was amazing & the soup was also great! The special dish was okay, did not impress me. This will probably be my togo thai place if I am ever craving Thai food.

The husband and I stopped in because we were passing by at dinner time and Thai sounded like a great idea. The outside and inside decor is typical strip mall. The staff was very friendly. My water glass was full the entire time, I like that. The medium is the perfect amount of heat. Dinner came with a tasty soup. The rice was perfectly done and both entrees were delicious. No complaints.

My favorite Tai place close to home. Decent prices, nice portions and deliciousness! !

This place is horrible. Small portions, bland food and the rice tastes like instant rice. You couldn't pay me to eat here.

I've been going to this place for almost 9 years and have never had a bad experience or meal! The chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Cow Pad and Chicken Pad Peanut are my favorites!! The hot & sour soup is also very good. The waitress/hostess (think her name is "noon"?) is very pleasant. She always remembers me (even if its been a year or more) and asks about how my kids are doing!!!! The only thing negative I have to say is that they used to put coupons in the local papers, but haven't done so for quite some time :-(

It's really frustrating... says open till 9:30pm on Sundays, yet every time we've called it's closed. Just change the times on all the sites then. Decent food I guess, but never open when we call.

Yesterday was my 2nd time there. I've been searching for a good Thai place by my house. So happy I've found it

This restaurant is great! Yelp didn't steer us wrong We were the only people in the restaurant, which was a little worrisome at first, but my fears were unfounded. Our waitress (a shorter lady with glasses) was very friendly, and kind enough to explain some of the dishes to us. Of course since we were the only people there, we had great service. The portion size was appropriate, and the lunch prices are very reasonable. The phone rang off the hook while we were there with people ordering/picking up take out, and I can see why. I will definitely go back!

I love the BP...it's far and away my favorite Thai place in the area. Recently, on a business lunch, one of my colleagues ordered something that I had never tried there, the Crab Wontons (Crab Rangoon). He asked the waitress, "are these any good?" To which she replied, "they're one of the best things we serve." Now, I wouldn't go that far...as I think that their entrees are some of the best Thai I've had, but they were damn good. We certainly could've eaten about 4 more without much hesitation or goading. I highly recommend you try them...they're worth ordering!

Went here because it was close to home and left fully satisfied. This is a lovely family owned restaurant that serves wonderful Thai food. I highly recommend the Tom Yum soup--you will NOT be disappointed. For what it lacks in the "flair" it makes up for in cleanliness, attentive service, great food and fair prices. We will be back.

This place is great. A lot of great food for the money. The owners are very nice and will remember you (which is always a nice feeling). They are willing to help you out if you have any dietary concerns, which is unusual compared to other Thai restaurants I have been to.

Love everything I have tried here, and it is close to home. The people who work there are very friendly and the food is excellent. The Chicken Satay appetizer is really good, as well as the Gang Masaman and Pattani. We always get medium spice and it is perfect!

I just love the food at this place. They also have great lunch specials. A different dish is offered daily at a 15% discount. So you can walk out the door with a lunch special (take-out) spending about the same amount as you would at a fast-food joint! I've tried several dishes that I wouldn't have considered if they hadn't been on special. The staff is great too. This restaurant is a hidden gem!
